Reviews from Previous Guests
We have stayed in dozens of bed & breakfast inns all over the country, but the hospitability we received at the Montgomery Inn surpassed that of all others. Pam is a very personable innkeeper, and we will return at the first opportunity.
Exceeded our expectations. Nice location and setting, nice, clean and charming room, GREAT breakfast and the epitome of good old "southern hospitality". I asked for the romance package of flowers and strawberries and Pam went the extra mile of having romantic music playing as we entered the room. Thanks, Pam
I went to my class reunion nearby and traveled alone. I felt very safe, the service was great. It was a very relaxing and satisfying experience. Owner goes the extra mile to ensure your comfort. Breakfast very adequate. Great advice on local restaurants.

This was my fourth stay at the Montgomery Inn, 3rd time with Pam, Ross & Michaela. This time we stayed in the Rose Garden. Another nice room and wonderful stay. I would recommend it for anyone. Michaela was such a dear and played Wii with my young son. Pam's cranberry/pommegranite compote for the pancakes was divine. I highly recommend the Montgomery Inn.
This B&B is great. We felt very much at home. Pam was great. Our room was roomy and beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed the great breakfast we had the days we were there. We left and went on to Chattanooga,TN and stayed at the Mayor's Manor but the Montgomery Inn was so much better. I highly recommend. We plan to go back.
My wife and I stayed three nights at the Montgomery Inn. Pam and her children were gracious hosts. We loved the laid back atmosphere. It gave us time to relax and enjoy our vacation. Breakfasts were well-prepared and wonderful! The inn is located such that we walked to a nice little restaurant downtown (recommended by Pam). We will be returning.
This is definitely our place to get away from it all ! We stayed here 3 nights before Pam, Ross, and Michaela took it over in late 2006. We have stayed there a total of 5 nights since. We have stayed in the French Suite, Admiral, Colonial, Victorian, Tara, and Maple Suites and all have been 5 Stars!! We love Pam and family and they have truly made us feel like family!! The suites have always been exceptionally clean and comfortable and the food beyond description ! We even recommended to a group at our church and rented the entire house plus Pam prepared the most delicious dinner!! Cant wait to go back. Love you Pam, Ross, and Michaela!!!
The Montgomery Inn wasn't our first choice, but it was the best b&b choice we've made. The first b&b in Versailles never returned our phone calls or e-mails, the second offered us an air mattress in their outbuilding, but the Montgomery Inn offered us a suite with a jacuzzi.
The interior is absolutely beautiful. The woodwork, wallpaper, crown mouldings, doors, and stairway are in superb condition and the furniture is all exquisite antiques. Everything fits together like it was done by a designer. Our bathroom was enormous, with a jacuzzi, ceramic tile flooring, and a Victorian fainting chaise. The upholstery on the furniture was either fine white damask or dark tapestry, and the hardwood floors are rich and highy polished. We felt like we were in a historic European home.
Previous owners have added a large wing on the back of the inn for breakfast, and it's cheerful and comfortable. The food is fantastic, and they day we were there the innkeepers were taking photos of their pancakes for a food competition. What fun to watch.
The Montgomery Inn's hosts are very personable and made us feel very much at home. We learned later from our family that lives in Versailles that everyone they know has an extremely high opinion of the inn, and that they recommend it highly to their friends and family who come to town.
We've traveled extensively, and this is the best b&b we've ever stayed in.
We stayed in the Tara suite this time and enjoyed it immensely. We had our children join us this time at the Inn and this suite was perfect. On Sunday, we enjoyed the roasted red pepper and cheese ommelettes and they were AWESOME! The food was wonderful and the hospitality was as always, amazing! We will plan to come again in the future. Pam and Ross do a very nice job.
We just returned from our 11th stay at Montgomery Inn. We have stayed in all the suites except the English and Oriental and find all to be far above what one would expect. The attention paid to details, the food, and Yes, above all else the innkeeper, Pam and her family are outstanding !! We cant wait to stay in those last two suites and start all over again. We love you all, Pam !!!
Have stayed in B&Bs from coast to coast. The Montgomery Inn is simply the best. It's the deep sigh of contentment at the end of a perfect day.
Innkeepers' Reviews of Previous Guests
Made ya look--I like what I do, and if I hope to continue I would never do what a couple of them have, but being open 24/7 since September of 2006, if we have only had a couple of bad days I think we'll choose to count our blessings.   99.5% of our guests are quite happy with us, and from working with the public for years I know that there are those who manage to be incessantly happy--they shower everything with perhaps at times undeserved praise.  Equally true (and come on--you are already thinking of someone you know) there are those that if they won the Lottery they would complain because someone handed them a million bucks but in a paper sack.   Oi vay. Reviews are sooo popular now we felt compelled to include them, although I'd rather not--we want you to discover the Inn for yourself without preconceived notions or expectations.
I do emphasize two things-1: reviews are quite subjective and individual tastes vary immensely. 2: we strive to please, but we can't fix it if we don't know it's broke so to speak--please feel free to talk to us about anything and we'll try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
SO my advice is go to an Inn with an open mind rather than a check list of expectations.  Roll with it and you  may be pleasantly surprised and by all means, talk to your hosts.  I carry my phone always, and the Inn is forwarded to me--we do care!  We chose to do this and all and all, We like ya!
You may be an innkeeper if....
...Your husband buys flowers every week and they are never for you.
...You find undies in the sheets that aren't yours and you don't give it a second thought.
...You collect quarter-rolls of toilet paper and are proud that you haven't opened a new roll for your own use in over a year.
...You find stain removal techniques utterly fascinating.
...You know 127 recipes for egg dishes and as many pancake variations.
...You work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and love it!
