As the last of our Thanksgiving guests waved farewell we poured a cup of tea and took a moment to relax. The Inn always seems quiet after a houseful of merriment and frivolities. We bask only mometarily, though as the Holiday Parties, Dinners and Receptions commence in just a few days. There is still room/time to book your gathering with us--we do a beautiful party buffet for munching and mingling--ideal for 40 or fewer. We also do sit down dinners, there is a menu for your group and budget, just call and we'll custom design your gathering. |

If we look like we're walking on air these days it may be true--my son is home from the hospital and shy of a few precautionary limitations and a back brace for the next few months, is back to his old self. Thankful, grateful, overwhelmed, there isn't a word for the joy and relief we share for this miracle. So many have offered prayers and kindnesses--your love and affection was such a comfort--thank you.
Meanwhile we have the dining room tree up and ready for the Thanksgiving Feast. We are open during Christmas and New Years, although as we enjoy a 65 degree day this 21st of November, the idea of a white Christmas far from our minds. |

Many of our guests are aware that my son, Ross, who runs the Inn with me had a large tumor impacting his spinal cord and threatening the use of his legs. I am thrilled to share that the surgery has been completed and the entire tumor was removed. Ross has movement and feeling in both legs and we were able to stand him up briefly yesterday. He'll need rehab but we are thanking our Jesus. The damage we sought to prevent to the spinal cord by removing the tumor had already been done, the spinal nerve was strangled and dead however Ross had no loss of use to the legs they serve. |
