WHAT ARE THE FEI GAMES?

The FEI Games are the “World Equestrian Championships,” for eight equestrian sports – Show Jumping, Dressage, Eventing, Driving, Reining, Vaulting, Endurance, Para Equestrian.

The FEI Games are held every four years, two years prior to the summer Olympic Games, and have never yet been held outside of Europe. They are governed by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), based in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The FEI is the international governing body of equestrian sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee. It is the organization which establishes rules and regulations for the conduct of international equestrian events. The FEI has 130 member countries. The national governing body for the United States is the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), located at the Kentucky Horse Park.
